• Thatch and brick chalets which lie along the Kwando River or Kwando Lagoon

Buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and specials such as roan, sable and oribi, with elephant and hippo being particularly abundant. Predators are regularly encountered. Around 400 species of birds have been recorded.

Drinks are included for guests booked on the fully inclusive basis. Drinks are excluded from the dinner, bed and breakfast rate.

Laundry facilities are included for guests on a fully inclusive basis. However these are excluded from the dinner, bed and breakfast rate but can be done at an extra cost.

The following is the suggested gratuity schedule only and is subject to service standards:

N$ 100 per guest per day for camp staff. This will be equally shared amongst the camp staff.

Lianshulu Lodge in the East Caprivi overlooks the Kwando River and is situated on a private concession inside the Mudumu National Park of Namibia. The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh and open woodland, with superb scenery and a fascinating array of fauna and flora.

Activities here include visits to the Lizauli Traditional Village, a model homestead where members of the local community give fascinating insights into their way of life in this remote corner of Namibia. Lianshulu also assists with direct economic empowerment and social benefits for local communities and has been instrumental in creating new opportunities, actively encouraging projects that utilise indigenous products and knowledge on a sustainable basis.

Guests are collected from the airstrip and transfered to the lodge by game drive vehicle.

Airstrip Details

Lianshulu airstrip is located 5 mins from the lodge.

The airstrip is 1300m long and is a compacted calcrete / grass surface.

Park Entrance Fees

Park entrance fees for Mudumu National Park are excluded from the dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Park entrance frees are included in the fully inclusive rates. These must be paid in cash on arrival, are charged per day and apply to guests and vehicles. The current fees are:

• Adult (foreigner): N$ 40
• Adult (SADC): N$ 30
• Adult (Namibian): N$ 10
• Vehicle 1 - 10 seats: N$ 10
• Vehicle 11 - 25 seats: N$ 40
• Vehicle 26 - 50 seats: N$ 300
• Vehicle > 50 seats: N$ 500

Please note: Namibia uses Daylight Saving Time from the first weekend of April to the first weekend of September. However, due to the geographical location, Caprivi remains on Central African Time (ie: one hour ahead of Namibian Winter Time.)

Luggage

There is a 20kg luggage restriction per person for any charter transfers. Please note that the cargo pods on a normal light aircraft cannot handle suitcases and hard bags, so luggage must be packed in soft bags.
