Location

Puku Ridge Camp is situated in a remote wildlife rich area in the South Luangwa National Park. Named for the elusive Puku antelope that inhabits the Kakumbi Dambo (floodplain), which the camp overlooks, Puku Ridge Camp is built on a hillside, providing stunning vistas of the floodplain and the wildlife that frequents it.

Accommodation

The camp offers 6 luxury oversized tents with a wrap around view of the floodplains.

Game Viewing

Wildlife to be seen includes elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo and a wide variety of antelope in addition to endemic species such as the Thornicroft’s giraffe and Cooksons wildebeest. This is an excellent area for leopards.

Activities

  • Game Drives Full range of game drives and night drives in the South Luangwa National Park using open 4x4 vehicles driven by a knowledgeable guide. Two game activities per day. The emphasis in this area is on the wonderful opportunities for walking safaris and night drives. On night game drives, guests return to camp by 20h00.
  • Walking Safaris Guided walks by a professional guide and an armed national parks scout.
Electricity & Water
  • The camp has water hot and cold, the water is not safe to drink therefore bottle water is provided.
  • The camp has electricity.
Drinks Policy

All stocked drinks are included in the nightly tariff, except premium brands and spirits.

Laundry Policy

A fully complimentary laundry service is offered daily.

Extras Payment

All extras can be paid for with Visa, American Express and MasterCard credit cards in addition to travellers' cheques and cash (US$ and Kwacha only). Diners Card is not accepted.

Gratuity

At clients discretion between US$5 -10 per day.

By air: Mfuwe International airport - transfer time from the airport to the camp is approximately 2 hours.
